Attorney

Michael A. Wiers was born and raised in St. Albans, Maine. He received a B.A. at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. He received his J.D. from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. He is admitted to practice before the Federal and State Bars in Maine. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Maine State Bar Association and the Somerset County Bar Association. Michael has been recognized for his work with the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Maine Bar Association. On June 16, 2004, he received the first Lew Vafiades Pro Bono Award to an individual attorney in recognition of his exceptional commitment to providing equal access to justice for the people of Maine. Michael has served as an attorney for over thirty years in the areas of real estate, probate and estate planning, family law and business law.
Michael has served on the Maine Milk Commission since 1991 and currently serves as its chairman. He also served as the first chairman of the Northeast Dairy Compact.
Michael lives in St. Albans with his wife, Libby. They have two sons and two grandsons.

Nancy Roy has worked as a legal secretary at the Law Office of Michael A Wiers in Newport since September 2006. She worked previously in the Hartland office. Before returning to Maine she worked as a legal secretary in Florida.

Sandra M. McKenzie has worked for Michael Wiers since July, 2007. Previously she has worked as a legal secretary continuously since 1976 in Maine, Florida, and South Carolina.
